Six Flags losses top $200M amid attendance drop

CHARLOTTE — As the theme park industry continues to deal with a variety of challenges impacting visits, operations and profitability, Charlotte-based Six Flags Entertainment Corp. is feeling the effects.

Six Flags sustained a net loss of nearly $203 million in the second quarter of 2026. The Q2 loss is more than double the hit Six Flags took in the second quarter of 2025. There were multiple contributing factors including a nearly $65.5 million decrease in revenue generated by Six Flags parks year over year. Six Flags’ revenue in the second quarter reached $865 million.
