Statesville Love's truck stop to be argued for, against

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Statesville leaders will again take up a controversial proposal for a Love's truck stop Tuesday.

Channel 9's partners at The Record and Landmark said lawyers and citizen groups will argue their sides for the proposed stop near exit 154 off Interstate 40.

Channel 9 has been following the fight for more than a year.

Neighbors and business owners say the Love's stop would lead to more traffic, pollution, and noise. They also say the zoning doesn't allow for a truck stop.
