CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Storms are expected to produce some heavy rain in the Charlotte area Tuesday, meteorologist Keith Monday said.
Showers began forming in the mountains early Tuesday afternoon and are expected to get stronger and more widespread as the day goes on, Monday said.
Heavy rain is expected, and gusty winds and hail are also possible.
After Tuesday, the storm chance will go down as the holiday weekend approaches.
