CHARLOTTE, N.C. — New work on phase two of the Gold Line project means lane closures along Independence Boulevard.
Crews are closing inbound Independence Boulevard between Eastway Drive and Hawthorne Thursday through Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
On Monday, the closure will switch to the outbound side between the Interstate 277 split and Briar Creek Road.
That portion of the road will be shut down from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Dec. 15.
This section of the streetcar expansion is expected to be finished by April 2020.
In the video at the top of the page, Traffic Team 9's Mark Taylor breaks down the best way to get around the closures.
