CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Students and staff members were evacuated from Eastway Middle School Tuesday after a fire in a trash can.
CMS officials said the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. Students were let back into the building around 1:45 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The fire is still under investigation.
