Man walking down road arrested, charged in Albemarle murder

ALBEMARLE, N.C. — A man has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of Rodney W. Harkey, Albemarle police said.

On Monday at about 4 a.m., officers responded to an assault call on Pine Street and found Harkey, 55, dead.

A short time later, officers found 37-year-old Joshua S. Foreman walking on a nearby street. He was arrested and charged with murder.

Foreman is in the Stanly County Jail under no bond. His first court appearance is Sept. 20.

No other details about the crime have been released.
