SUV belonging to missing Marshville woman found in Anson County

ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — A desperate search for a missing Marshville woman has led investigators to Anson County.

Police said 41-year-old Amanda Jo Maske left home for her job in Raeford on Wednesday morning and hasn't been heard from since.

On Wednesday night, Maske’s family found her abandoned Jeep Grand Cherokee parked at Scotty’s Bait and Tackle shop in eastern Anson County.

Investigators said they developed leads that took them back to the Pee Dee River area.

The North Carolina SBI is helping with the investigation.

Anyone with information about where Maske might be is asked to call either the Union County Sheriff’s Office or Anson County Sheriff’s Office.
