HANAHAN, S.C. — Thousands of rare exotic fish are now in jeopardy after surveillance video caught the moment a driver plowed into a South Carolina aquatics store.
[VIDEO: Car smashes into popular south Charlotte store]
The video shows employees at the store in Hanahan running for cover and ducking as debris flew into the air.
The crash left a massive hole in the front of the store, which will cost thousands of dollars to repair, but the owner said he's focused on rebuilding.
“I'm 52 years old now and I'm pretty much a one-job man. So, I don't know how to really do anything else so I've gotta make this work,” said the store’s owner Chris Deer.
Deer is trying to figure out how to take care of the fish in the climate-controlled environment.
