CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three residential properties in Mecklenburg County sold for $3 million-plus in June, nearly eclipsing the number of high-end homes trading for that amount during the first five months of the year.
[Meck County home values rose 44 percent on average in latest revaluation]
The top-priced residential transaction from last month came in at $3.68 million — the result of a pocket listing by HM Properties’ Tracey Cook and Ashley Pizzo of a nearly 8,700-square-foot home on the 600 block of Hempstead Place in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood.
While it didn’t appear on Carolina Multiple Listing Services, the six bedroom, eight-and-a-half bathroom home was listed at $3.85 million. It last sold in late 2000 for $1.95 million, according to county property records.
Another home that sold last month in excess of $3 million was an 8,190-square-foot residence in Morrocroft Estates, a subdivision in south Charlotte, as well as a 7,900-square-foot home in the Cornelius neighborhood of The Peninsula.
Check out this slideshow for a look at those three homes as well as the seven other properties that make up Mecklenburg County's 10 priciest residential sales in June.
