CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Division officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested Jerome McGraw, 25, Marc Tyrone Tomblin, 21, and Phyllis Yvette Jenson, 23, in connection with a robbery committed earlier this week, according to a news release from the police department.
At 4 p.m. Monday, patrol officers were dispatched to an armed robbery call at a home in the 8200 block of Golf Ridge Drive.
The victim told police he returned home from the store and parked in his driveway when an individual armed with a pistol approached his vehicle and tapped on his driver's side window. He said another individual approached the vehicle from the passenger side. The suspects ordered the victim to open the vehicle then removed the victim's cellphone and computer equipment he purchased earlier in the day.
The suspects got into a waiting vehicle before leaving the area.
Evidence gathered and information obtained during the investigation implicated the three suspects in the robbery, police said.
On Tuesday, North Division officers located the suspects in the parking lot of the Northlake Mall. All three suspects were arrested without incident. Officers also recovered property belonging to the victim in the possession of the suspects.
All three suspects have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
