Tip to Channel 9 leads to Chester meth lab bust

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Chester police are crediting a viewer tip to Channel 9 that resulted in a meth lab bust Thursday, police said.

Eyewitness News received a tip from a resident who said there was a potential active meth lab on Gregg Avenue.

Channel 9 alerted Chester police, who showed up at the residence and found meth lab paraphernalia along with two people inside the house.

Chester police arrested Charles Lanier, 23, and Victoria Boulware, 31, and charged them with attempt and conspiracy, and attempt to possess a controlled substance.

A drug clean-up company from Columbia was called in to clear the residence of all meth materials.

Lanier and Boulware were sent to the Chester County Detention Center.
