UNION COUNTY, N.C. — On Tuesday night, people in Union County can weigh in on a request to give Harris Teeter an incentive to expand its distribution center.
The Matthews-based grocery chain is considering building a $4 million facility.
Union County may give it $66,000 over the course of five years – that is about half of what the company would pay in taxes.
Tuesday night's public hearing starts at 7 p.m. at the government center in Monroe.
