GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Christmas came early this week for one North Carolina woman, who was preparing to spend the holiday away from her husband serving in the military.
Mariah Clark was enjoying a holiday light display in Guilford County when her husband, Terrance, surprised her by coming home a month early.
Terrance, a U.S. Army Infantry Specialist, has spent the last six months serving in Afghanistan. Mariah said she wasn’t aware that her husband had been planning the surprise for months.
Terrance said he will be home for two weeks before he has to return to work. The couple said the only thing they have planned is to spend time together.
