VALDESE, N.C. — A piece of history in Valdese needs a half-million-dollar makeover.
The Old Colony Players Inc. is raising $500,000 to restore its outdoor amphitheater, the Morganton News Herald reported.
It has been home to “From This Day Forward” for nearly 60 years.
The Morganton News Herald reported the group has received $175,000 in donor commitments, with more work planned before the 2027 season.
