MONROE, N.C. — After years of delighting fans, the city officials say the Warbirds Over Monroe Air Show will not take place in 2026.
The Veteran’s Day tradition is canceled due to construction at the Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport.
The City of Monroe has not decided the future of the show after this year.
The nonprofit group Warriors and Warbirds started in 2005 as a dream of several local pilots. They dedicated the annual show to honoring the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. The even typically draws thousands of spectators from across the region.
