CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There will be a big warm up starting today with temperatures reaching near 60 degrees.
A wind from the south will make for a warmer night as temperatures fall to the mid 30s but most of the area will finally avoid the freezing mark.
Some thick clouds are expected over the area but there will be little rain chance in the upcoming week.
Temperatures will continue to rise each afternoon and could end up near 70 degrees by the end of the week.
It looks like a strong front will sit right on top of the area next weekend, which will bring the chance of rain.
