HICKORY, N.C. — A section of a 20-inch waterline is being replaced in Hickory, according to the city's Public Utilities Department.
The project runs along 15th Avenue NW from 12th Street Drive NW to 10th Street Place NW, then crosses Horseford Creek and continues on 13th Avenue NW to 10th Street Boulevard NW.
The department will need to shut off the water to complete the connection process between the new water main and the existing water main. The work is scheduled for 10 p.m. Tuesday through 7 a.m. Wednesday. Properties near the project area, including those within the boundaries of north of 12th Avenue NW and west of 6th Street NW to Lake Hickory, will experience interruption of service.
Other properties within the area of Northwest Hickory may experience reduced pressure during that time.
