CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A water main break Thursday at Charlotte Douglas International Airport forced officials to close restrooms at most of the concourses inside the airport.
The water main break was caused by construction in the area.

Restrooms on Concourses A, B, and C are closed, according to airport officials. Officials managed to get water back on in the Concourse D area, but the water pressure is low. The restrooms on Concourse E are fully operational.
At about 4:55 p.m., airport officials said in a tweet that the repair was made and water would be restored shortly.

The airport said restrooms in the Hourly Deck are functional for travelers in the pre-security area.

The water main break did not affecting flights, but has forced some restaurants in the airport to close. Pilots have been told to warn passengers about the water issue before their flights land.
