Waterbean Coffee to open south Charlotte location with more in the works

CHARLOTTE — Waterbean Coffee is ramping up its expansion plans.

The Cornelius-based coffee chain opened a 1,300-square-foot location in Quail Corners on Saturday, with additional shops in the pipeline. That newest location is at 8428 Park Road.

The goal is to create a place where people relax and linger over high-quality craft coffee, says Tony Vo, founder and president.

“That’s the environment I wanted to set from day one,” Vo says. “A few try to imitate what we do, but it’s not easy.”

Vo already has two additional Waterbean locations in the pipeline.
