Waxhaw Marine in hospital after collapse during training

GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Marine from Waxhaw is in critical condition after he collapsed during a training run at Camp Lejeune.

Cody Eiss is at the hospital at East Carolina University in Greenville.

He's completed tours of duty in Afghanistan.     

Eiss is the son of Waxhaw Police Chief Michael Eiss, who is in Greenville to be with his son.
