Developer Magnus Capital Partners has signed local chef Michael Shortino for a nearly 2,800-square-foot restaurant at 322 Bland St.

Shortino confirmed he signed for the space, but he declined to share further details on Tuesday. The third-generation chef is also behind Futo Buta and Lincoln’s Haberdashery, both of which are also located in South End.

“Michael Shortino’s pizza concept will highlight the historic character of the building, and he understands the South End market as well as anyone,” says Brooks Whiteside, with Whiteside Properties.
