Wells Fargo opens a new branch in Fort Mill area

FORT MILL, S.C. — Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE: WFC) is again making adjustments to its branch network in the Charlotte area — this time by opening a new Fort Mill-area location.

The San Francisco-based bank opened the full-service branch on May 1 at 8352 Charlotte Highway in Indian Land. The 2,500-square-foot office has seven employees, including branch manager Jake Oswalt.

Wells Fargo opened a branch there to expand its presence around Fort Mill. It has two other branches in that area accompanied by 12 ATMs, a spokesperson at the bank confirmed.

“The Cross Creek branch opening reaffirms Wells Fargo’s long-standing commitment to meet our customers’ financial needs,” said Tiffany McCallum, district senior manager at Wells Fargo, in a statement. “This branch and the bankers will play an important role in strengthening our relationship with the Fort Mill community.”
