Wet weather headed to Charlotte area for Easter weekend

CHARLOTTE — Easter is approaching quickly, and so is the wet weather that will stay with us through the weekend.

Some people were already getting ready Thursday night and heading out to Maundy Thursday services in rainy weather.

It’s expected to be rainy and much colder on Friday. The summer weather we’ve been seeing will take a nearly 30-degree plunge: Temperatures Friday are expected to fall to the 50s.

The cold rain continues into the holiday weekend, with temperatures expected to drop to the 40s on Saturday.

A few showers are still possible Easter Sunday morning.
