Lowe’s Cos. Inc. CEO Marvin Ellison outlined his plan to better customer service, improve profitability and cut costs at the Mooresville-based home-improvement chain.
Ellison unveiled that plan Thursday while talking at the 25th Annual Global Retailing Conference in New York, sponsored by Goldman Sachs. The presentation was broadcast online for customers, media and analysts to listen.
After only two months on the job as Lowe’s CEO, Ellison has reconfigured many of the C-level posts at the company and has traveled across the U.S. footprint of Lowe’s looking for what needs to be done to make the retailer better.
During the retail conference on Thursday, he delivered a clear and concise message about what the company needs to do to improve Lowe’s, become more efficient and get the best performance out of capital invested in the home-improvement retailer.
