CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queen City is among seven locales in the Carolinas to land in the top third on a new ranking of the nation’s top housing markets.
The Wall Street Journal and Realtor.com, both owned by News Corp., compiled the Emerging Housing Markets Index, which is aimed at pointing buyers toward markets that are expected to provide both a strong return on investment and a nice place to live.
The Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia metro came in at No. 78 overall — and fifth-highest in the Carolinas.
