Woman collecting canned goods for Halloween for Hunger

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This Halloween, a Charlotte woman is trick-or-treating for charity.

Melody Dargon is a bartender at Comet Grill, and she's behind a big push called Halloween for Hunger.

She's collecting canned goods that will be given to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.

Dargon started the project last year with a goal of 1,000 pounds of food. She wants to collect 5 tons this year.

"I just want to be able to be able to do something small in order to provide the food for the people who need it," Dargon said.

Drop off canned goods for Halloween for Hunger at Comet Grill, Alexander Michael's Restaurant & Tavern or Brazwells Premium Pub.
