Deputies safely find 9-year-old who was reported missing in Lake Wylie area

LAKE WYLIE, S.C. — The York County Sheriff’s Office has found a 9-year-old who went missing in Lake Wylie for a few hours Sunday.

Deputies were looking for Mark Rogin, who was last seen at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly at 11 a.m.

Rogin is autistic and has ADHD, according to deputies. They warned that if he was approached by a stranger, he would run away.

He was hiding in the church building, according to deputies. After several searches of the building, he was found in a small classroom.
