Young survivors of homicide victims face challenges to reach emotional well-being

CHARLOTTE — Donqwavious Davis was one of many lives lost to gun violence in 2019 in Charlotte.

His death, like many others, affects family members, and in particular, children.

In the video at the top of this webpage, veteran crime reporter Glenn Counts learns that often the surviving children face a more complicated path to emotional well-being than adults, and it’s a journey they don’t have to travel alone.
