Man Accused Of Exposing Himself Then Ramming Police Car Twice

MONROE, N.C.,None — Police in Monroe arrested a man accused of exposing himself and then ramming a police car after officers approached him.

Officer Frank Bellini said he was responding to a report that a man was exposing himself in front of the Pier 1 Imports store located on Hwy 74 in Monroe.

According to Bellini, when he approached the man, he tried to cover up with a towel. The officer ordered him to pull up his pants and get out of the car, and that's when he started his car and rammed into a patrol car twice.

Officer Bellini disabled the suspect's vehicle and arrested Michael Iannone, police said.

Iannone is charged with indecent exposure, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and assault with a deadly weapon against a government official.
