The ever popular Queen's Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week has returned for another 10-day extravaganza, ready to serve Charlotte's finest fare for a great price.

The sixth semi-annual metro-area promotion starts Friday and continues through Sunday, Jan. 30.

In addition to many areas of Charlotte stretching from Ballantyne to University City, the 83 participating restaurants include establishments in the Lake Norman area and both Mecklenburg and Iredell counties, as well as Concord, Matthews, Belmont and Fort Mill, S.C.

The Restaurant Week promotion was started six years ago during the typically slow time period for restaurants, where they establish a prix fixe, or pre-determined, three course (or more) dinner for $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity), which is a big savings over what diners typically pay at participating eateries.

The previous Charlotte Restaurant Week in July 2010 drew about 80,000 dinners and generated $3.76 million in revenue for the 88 participating restaurants.

For the first time, some Queen's Feast restaurants -- 29 of the 83 participating restaurants in this month's promotion -- are extending an exclusive offer to AAA members via the AAA Show Your Card & Save program.

Diners presenting a current AAA membership card at those restaurants during the Queen's Feast can purchase a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant for only $25. The gift certificate will not be redeemable during Queen's Feast, and other restrictions may apply.
