CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for an armed and dangerous suspect.
Police said 17-year-old Alquez Lee Thompson cut off his electronic monitor on Dec 8. He is wanted by the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team on outstanding warrants for interfering with an electronic monitoring device, possession of a handgun by a minor and carrying a concealed weapon.
Thompson was on CMPD electronic monitoring while out on bond for pending charges.
According to authorities, Thompson has been arrested 16 times in Mecklenburg county for charges including assault with a deadly weapon, felony drug and weapon charges.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thompson are asked to call VCAT at 704-336-VCAT.
