Police: Crash Nets $30K In Hidden Drugs

PITTSBURGH,None — Police said they found $30,000 in drugs hidden under the hood of a Matthews man's car when they responded to the scene of an accident in Pittsburgh.

Investigators said the drugs were found hidden in the car Monday evening following the crash on Pittsburgh's North Side. Officials said firefighters spotted the drugs after raising the hood because they were concerned the car could catch fire.

James Chirstiansen Jr. allegedly had numerous bags of mushrooms, 200 ecstasy pills and 11,000 hits of LSD among the drugs hidden beneath the hood.

He faces drug possession and related charges. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
