Police: Man Threatened Store Manager With Knife

SHELBY, N.C.,None — A Shelby man threatened a convenience store manager with a knife on Sunday, according to Shelby Police.

Jason M. Hoyle, 27, is accused of attempting to rob a One Stop Food Store manager with a knife, holding the knife to the manager's neck and threatening to kill her, and attempting to steal the manager's car.

Officer R. Conner of the Shelby Police Department made the arrest, according to the report. Hoyle is charged with two counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Hoyle's first appearance in court was scheduled for Monday, according to magistrate documents.
