COLUMBIA, S.C. — Both Gov. Henry McMaster and challenger Catherine Templeton have more than $2.5 million in their campaign bank accounts two months before the Republican primary.
Candidates are reporting how much money they raised and spent in the first three months of 2018. Five GOP candidates are running for the gubernatorial nomination on June 12.
McMaster raised $741,000, spent $373,000 and has $2.97 million in his bank account.
Templeton raised $558,000, spent $367,000 and has $2.53 million on hand.
John Warren raised $660,000 - with $503,000 coming from a loan from himself. He spent $443,000 and has $266,000 in the bank.
Lt. Gov. Kevin Bryant raised $22,000, spent $95,000 and has $183,000 on hand.
Yancey McGill raised $8,270 with a $1,700 loan to himself. He spent $9,909 and has $422.98 on hand.
