CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The annual Food Lion Speed Street festival returned to uptown Charlotte this week.
The event, which is celebrating its 19th year, kicked off at noon on Thursday. It runs until 11 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Thousands of people attend the free festival every year. It features live music, appearances by drivers, interactive displays, an assembly of NASCAR show cars and simulators and more. For a full schedule of bands and appearances, click here.
