TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A 14-year-old boy is facing a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old Alabama woman.

According to the Tuscaloosa News and AL.com, police arrested the teen, who has not been publicly identified because he is underage, Sunday after investigators discovered the body of Elexis McCool inside an abandoned vehicle in Tuscaloosa. McCool had been fatally shot, authorities said.
Authorities received tips linking the the 14-year-old and another teen to the incident, police told reporters. The second suspect, who is 15, faces charges of theft, obstruction and abusing a corpse, the Tuscaloosa News reported.
Both teens are at the Tuscaloosa Juvenile Detention Center, authorities said.
