A Mississippi man who trolled authorities on social media after he was listed as one of Jones County’s “most wanted” fugitives was arrested Thursday, authorities said.

Jenise Bolin, 31, Ellisville, was wanted on a bench warrant issued by Judge Dal Williamson for failing to appear on a possession of methamphetamine charge, WDAM-TV reported.

Bolin was listed as one of the five people most wanted on the sheriff department’s Facebook page on Tuesday. He apparently could not resist taking a swipe at officials, according to the Laurel Leader-Call newspaper.

“I know the whereabouts of the first individual,” a person on Facebook under the name of Jenise Bolin wrote. “How much money would I get if I turn him in? Asking for a friend!!!”

“We love to play hide and seek,” the sheriff’s department responded to the post on Wednesday.

Bolin was standing in his yard and surrendered when Sgt. Lance Williams and Deputy Bradley Boyd arrived the next day, the Leader-Call reported.

As Bolin was being handcuffed, he allegedly asked deputies if they had taken a photo of the arrest. Assured that they had, Bolin allegedly told the deputies to “tag him on Facebook,” according to the newspaper.

The sheriff’s department chronicled the arrest on the same Facebook thread shortly after making the arrest on Thursday, writing in response, “Peek a boo …. We got you.”

The Leader-Call reported that Bolin texted one of the newspaper’s reporters, admitting he was an addict.

“I’m not a bad person jus someone who has made bad choices in life but I’ve been in the process of tryin to get everything back together for my 2- and 3-year-old kids,” Bolin wrote. “The charges are old charges that has came back to bite me. I have a court date next month on it so I don’t understand why I got a warrant.”

The Facebook comments continued, and Bolin was not receiving much sympathy.

“This dude needs to be on World’s Dumbest Criminals,” one poster commented after Bolin was arrested. “You aren’t the brightest crayon in the box, are ya!”
