Two Iredell Medics Charged With Stealing Radios

STATESVILLE, N.C.,None — Two Iredell County Emergency Medical Services employees are facing larceny charges after authorities said they took two $4,000 radios from EMS.

Jerry Calvin McIver III, 28, of Taylorsville and Justin Timothy Combs, 21, of Stony Point, face a charge of felony larceny by employee.

Iredell County Sheriff's Office Capt. Darren Campbell said the charges stem from a report filed by an EMS supervisor concerning a radio missing from the Troutman EMS base.

The report was filed on July 27.

During the course of the investigation, it was learned that a second radio was missing, Campbell said.

McIver was arrested Tuesday and the warrant has not yet been served on Combs.

McIver's bond was set at $5,000.
