SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A new 150-room residence hall for students will be constructed on the campus of Wofford College, in the name of the project’s donor, former Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson.
The dorm, which will be called Jerome Johnson Richardson Hall, is expected to be completed by fall 2020.

Construction is expected to get underway this spring.
Richardson graduated from Wofford in 1959 and played football while at the school.
Richardson had his share of controversies, from sexual harassment claims to accusations of using racial slurs.
