TENNESSEE — Former "Big 22" player and Northwestern standout Justin Worley has been named the starting quarterback at Tennessee, according to ESPN.
Worley beat out three other quarterbacks, including former "Big 22" quarterback from Butler, Riley Ferguson.
Worley was the only quarterback with game experience after backing up Tyler Bray in 2012.
The Volunteers open at home against Austin Peay and Western Kentucky.
Five of the team's next six games area against Top-10 ranked teams including games at No. 3 Oregon, at No. 10 Florida, No 5. Georgia, No. 6 South Carolina and at No. 1 Alabama.
