None — Extra congestion is expected along I-77, US 21, and Carowinds Blvd. on July 4th due to fireworks shows at Carowinds, Knights Stadium, and Lake Wylie.
Thru-traffic should stay in the left two lanes of I-77 to minimize delays. To avoid congestion on Carowinds Blvd., use Westinghouse Blvd. or I-485 as alternate routes between South Tryon St. and I-77. After the fireworks show at Carowinds, drivers leaving the Carowinds parking lots will be required to turn right onto Carowinds Blvd. No u-turns will be permitted along Carowinds Blvd. Use Carowinds Blvd. to South Tryon St. (right) to Westinghouse Blvd. (right) as an alternate route onto I-77. Choate Circle is expected to be closed to thru-traffic. Use Carowinds Blvd. to South Tryon St. (left) as an alternate route.
