FORECAST:
- The scorching heat is back with a vengeance, said Chief Meteorologist John Ahrens on Monday afternoon.
- Now that Chantal is long gone, the temperatures will surge back to the mid-90s tomorrow.
- However, thunderstorms will be more numerous through the rest of the week, which should knock down those temperatures just a bit.
