Saturday: Best rain chances will be south of Charlotte
Sunday: Rain chances highest along the mountains and into the SC midlands. Charlotte area likely has lowest chances.
TRACKING THE TROPICS: Hurricane Danny is now a category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds near 105 mph. As Danny nears the eastern Caribbean, it will encounter land and will start to weaken. Most of the models swing the storm northward into the Atlantic next week. The storm is not expected to impact the Carolinas.
Next week: Temperatures hold near average (87 degrees) into early next week.
