FORECAST: Rain arrives Friday night

• We’re finally starting to see some clouds thin out a bit. However, it will be temporary.
• Rain is approaching and will be here for the weekend.
• Saturday will start out quietly with some sunshine into the early afternoon.
• Temperatures will get up into the 80s before more clouds take over.
• Showers and a few storms will move in during the late Saturday afternoon.
• Most of the storms will not be too strong but lightning and heavy rain will be in the area around 5 p.m.
• The front will only slowly trudge through Charlotte on Saturday night and may even linger into Sunday morning.
• As a result, we may still have a few showers to deal with on Sunday morning before conditions improve.
