3 charged in Concord Walmart thefts

CONCORD, N.C.,None — Three people have been arrested in connection with thefts from Concord Walmart stores.

Jerry Hedrick, 42, was charged with felony burning of a building used for trade and felony larceny by removing an antishoplifting device. The charges stem from an Oct. 29 incident at the Walmart on Supercenter Drive in which police said he set small fires in the store and fled with a TV. Hedrick was also charged with one count of felony larceny from a merchant by using an emergency exit in connection with an Oct. 30 incident at the same store.

Jerry Hedrick's wife, 41-year-old Penny Hedrick, was charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of a felony. She was the driver in two incidents, according to police.

Joseph Lamb, 32, was charged with felony larceny from a merchant using an emergency exit in connection with an Oct. 30 incident at the Concord Commons Place Walmart and accessory after the fact of a felony in connection with the Oct. 29 incident.

All three suspects were arrested on Nov. 8 and were taken to the Cabarrus County Jail.
