5-Year-Old Gastonia Girl To Sing For Oprah

GASTONIA, N.C.,None — A 5-year-old Gastonia girl appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Tuesday after her YouTube video caught Winfrey's eye.

The Gaston Gazette first reported that Maya Grace Sadler was on the "World's Most Talented Kids" episode along with Willow Smith, daughter of actor Will Smith.

When Maya was 2-years-old, her parents posted a YouTube video of her singing and sent the link to the show. That's when they were contacted back from producers of the show.

On Feb. 21, Maya and her mother April traveled to Chicago to attend a taping of the show.

The Gaston Christian School pre-kindergartener said Winfrey was very nice and pretty. "She touched me on the hand and gave me lots of hugs," she said.

The episode re-airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on TV64.
