CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charles Holland said the new $3,700 gutter guard system that he had installed on his house is not working like it is supposed to.
He said at his front door, rain comes over the top gutter guard.
"He took this off of it, so it wouldn't run over again and left this here," said Holland.
He said workers for Paradise Home Improvement took off a piece and promised to return to fix a section, along with the overflow problem at the back of the house.
He said there workers cut the gutter guards too short.
"This one needs to be longer, water was pouring down through here and getting all the way down through here," he said.
But Holland said after five phone calls he can't get Paradise Home Improvement back to make the repairs.
"It's been a month now. I trust people. I expect them to do what they say they're going to do," he said.
Action 9 got in touch with the manager for Paradise Home Improvement.
He said he had been waiting for good weather, but Holland said there have been many dry days for them to do the work.
After Action 9 talked to the manager, he sent out a repairman who installed larger gutters on sections of the house so that the gutter guards can work more efficiently.
Charles' wife, Polly, was happy.
"It has made me feel grate and grateful to you," said Polly.
Action 9 checked back with the Holland's and they said the repairs worked.
