Alabama adult store in hot water for trading adult toys for kids' toys

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.,None — An adult store in Alabama said it's trying to spread some holiday cheer, but the "Toys for Tots" program is not happy.

Pleasures adult store is collecting donations for the U.S. Marines' kids' charity and is offering a free adult toy in exchange for the kids' toy.

"Toys for Tots" representatives said it didn't want its name associated with the store and demanded Pleasures to remove the charity's logo from ads and signs.

The adult store's manager is not sure what all the fuss is about.

"Pleasures has been donating to charities for the 19 years that it's been established, and we feel like our donations should not be any different that anybody else's donations, because the kids don't care where the toys came from, as long as they get toys," said store manager Terra Jeffrey.

Pleasures took down the signs and removed the "Toys for Tots" log from its ads.

But the store still prominently displays the logo in its website and said it will continue the toy drive through Dec. 15.
