Andrew Doud

None — Andrew Doud joined the Eyewitness News team in November 2010 as a general assignment reporter/photographer. He is originally from Philadelphia, but has called North Carolina home for more than six years.

Andrew graduated from Elon University with a degree in Broadcast Communications. Prior to coming to Charlotte, he was a digital journalist in Greenville, North Carolina with WNCT-TV.

During his time in Eastern North Carolina, Andrew covered a wide range of stories from hurricanes and snowstorms to hostage situations and murder trials.

He is also a big NASCAR fan. During his time with WNCT he had the opportunity to travel to the home of racing legend Richard Petty. His one on one with "The King" highlighted the sport's past and where one of its most popular drivers sees it going in the future.

Andrew thrives on breaking news and covering events as they happen. In 2009, he was awarded "Best Spot News" by the North Carolina Associated Press for his coverage of a wildfire in Pitt County that claimed a portion of a modular home business that had also been destroyed during Hurricane Floyd 10 years earlier.

When he is not in the newsroom, you can find Andrew playing golf or watching football.
