None — Beth Phillips, a native North Carolinian, has been helping animals all of her life. As a small child she often came home with birds, puppies, lizards...pretty much any living creature in need of a helping hand.
Luckily, her parents encouraged this streak in her and she is now founder and President of North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue.
She spends most of her time helping and finding homes for homeless cats and dogs. Through NMAR she has helped in the placement of over 2,500 animals in the last 10 years.
In her professional life she is a partner in Bebe Gallini's, a retail store in Cornelius, N.C. and does a wide variety of artwork, which she sells, in part to help fund the rescue.
